Single Family and Duplexes

Most Common Residential Buildings

Residential land uses are predominantly single family with some duplexes. Homes have a traditional form with detached garages. There are occasional rowhouses and small apartment buildings.

Grid and Alley Block Pattern

The block pattern is a grid with alleys, consistent lot shapes, and detached sidewalks.

Main Streets and Corner Stores

Commercial land uses are in the form of main streets and corner stores, frequently embedded within residential areas. Parking is typically provided on-street and by parking lots located behind the building.

Detached Sidewalks

The most common sidewalk form is detached, or separated from the street by a landscaped area with street trees.
