Curving Streets

The block pattern consists of curving streets that create varying lot shapes and sizes. There may also be cul-de-sacs and larger front or side yards. Typically there are no alleys, and access is taken from the street by a front driveway.

Shopping Centers

Commercial land uses are often in the form of shopping centers located along arterial streets or at major intersections with parking lots located between the buildings and the street.

Separation of Uses

Commercial, single family and multi-family residential land uses are typically separate from one another with the car as the primary mode of transportation.

Predominantly Single Family

Residential land uses are predominantly single family, often in the form of ranch homes with attached garages. There are occasional town homes and apartment complexes.
