
Kerry Buckey Assistant City Attorney
Kerry graduated with a BS in Biology from the College of William & Mary in 1971 and got his JD at the University of Colorado in 1978. Kerry also entered the Army in 1971 as an Armor 2nd Lieutenant. He was selected for the Judge Advocate General's Funded Legal Education Program in 1975 and attended CU Law, graduating in 1978. Kerry served in the Judge Advocate General's Corps as a prosecutor, defense counsel, military judge and deputy staff judge advocate, retiring in 1996. He was a City Attorney for Central City, CO from 1997 to 2000. Kerry Joined the Denver City Attorney's Office in March of 2000. His practice specializes in land use, landmark preservation, building code and right-of-way issues.
