How is the draft map prepared and how are revisions made?Posted by: The New Zoning Code Team
In order to prepare and revise the draft zoning map, three criteria are considered: current zoning, existing conditions (such as land use, lot size, building scale and form), and plan recommendations, such as Blueprint Denver. The first draft map was prepared and discussed with the community at City Council District workshops. Comments were taken at those workshops, as well as online at www.newcodedenver.org. In order to revise the draft zoning map, we reviewed public input and further analyzed the three criteria.
Please note that properties zoned with waivers and/or conditions, zoned Planned Unit Development (PUD), or with Planned Building Group site plans, are not being rezoned as a part of this effort. These are noted on the online map as "Not to be rezoned." Their current zoning will remain in place.
