Announcementsupdates about the code

We're Off and RunningPosted by: Molly Urbina, Deputy Manager of Community Planning and Development
At the end of May, we completed Round I of our Public Workshops to gather feedback from all quadrants of the city on The New Code. Over 400 Denver residents participated in this outreach process, but we wanted to make sure that those who could not attend these meetings still got a chance to get involved in this stage of the roll out. Channel 8 has made its footage of the downtown meeting from May 12th available here.
We want to thank Mayor John Hickenlooper and the City Council for their participation in the workshops, and we of course want to thank all of the Denver residents who turned out to give us their input. We are looking forward to the next steps of the public roll out of The New Code. The draft code will be made public and posted to the website at the end of May, and we are also scheduling more public workshops by City Council District to gather further feedback. Check www.newcodedenver.org/meetings for these schedules and to find a meeting near you!
